  • First group meeting

    Hiya Everyone :wave:

    I had my first lighterlife meeting yesterday. I was feeling really excited and sort of nervous at the same time on the way there. I was wondering what the people would be like in the group, and as it was local- if i would know/recognise anyone. I got there a bit before 5, she then told me that the group did not start untill 6- the time had changed!! Well nobody had told me! Oh well- i know now for next week, i just read through some lighterlife press cuttings of success stroies and some lighterlife mags. Anyway when everyone did come- in turn we were weighed and photographed. I was 11:13ithink, which means i have lost over a stone, because i was 13stone about a week ago!!!! That just totally rocks!! We watched a dvd which basically tells you about the first week- what you can and can't have on lighterlife and then we have to introduce ourselfs and say what our thoughts and feelings where on the way to the group. Mandy asked for a volunteer to get up and hold there arm out and resist her pushing it down, she then told her to say that she was a weak and vubreable person 10 times- believe it and then try and resist her pushing her arm down again. It was still hard for mandy to push down- she then told mandy she was a body builder and mandy joked that she should have chosen another volunteer! Anyway she then told her to say that she was a strong and powerfull person 10times- and believe it. Someone then commented to her that she found saying the possitive thing about herself harder and she then became quite emotional. Anyway first meeting over anyway!!

    Today i went shopping in birmingham and pottered around the bullring and the pallasades. I LOVE the birmingham shops they totally rock- definatley my fave place to shop!! I bought a green furry bodywarmer waistcoat thingy. Feeling quite knackered now but had a cool day. :D

  • Tuesday!

    Hiya Everyone,
    I did start to write on here yesterday but then got distracted. I was back at work yesterday- it was great to see everyone again. It was a training day so the children where not in, but back to proper 'normality' tommorow. :D
    I went for a walk today in the park, it was great, i loved it. Had lots of sits down on benches when i needed them. I took a detour on my way into evesham and went into the little park and played on the swings! (yep i know.. big kid!!!!)hehehe. I went to the toning tables and got toned up, i seemed to be in evesham ages i must have had a good potter! I then game back and had a doubble shake and watched trashy TV.
    I have not drunk a lot today at all , struggling a bit with the water, i will get there!

  • My new beginning !!!

    I have been feeling really fed up lately about my weight and have found myself in a viciouse cycle of comfort eating, feeling guilty and even more fed up, eating more cuz i feel like i have already blown it so what the hec.:**:
    Anyway in the paper there was a bit about a new lighterlife group that is openening locally. I have done the lighterlife programme before but it was over in stratford and where i went wrong was that i did not see the whole programme through to then end to then go on to do the maintanance. I lost a lot of muscle tone before and because my muscles are already quite weak i started dislocating (great fun!). I have been working really hard on my physiotherapy though and have now joined a ladies exercise centre where they have got some toning tables/chairs so am working really hard at keeping my muscles strong. I can get to this lighterlife group on my own and I want to do the whole programme and go onto the maintance which i think is the key...because the old habbits just slipped back and the weight piled back on. I went to see the GP thursday and she said to go back in a week to pick up the form (to give her time to look through my med notes- i am quite complicated and she was not my usual gp i see because she was on holiday (how rude eh?!))
    Anyway i started the LL diet yesterday (friday) - i wanted to start as soon as i got the thumbs up from the gp so i ordered some off ebay to start me off. My starting weight is 13stone. I want to get to down to around 9 stone- that would TOTALLY ROCK!!!
    I am being really good and drink lots of water and have been peeing loadz!
    I was really pleased with myself actually because i started friday and i went shopping that day. I can't walk long distances and have lots of sit downs. Usually i go to coffee shops and have lots of hot chocolates, cakes and crap but friday each time i needed a sit down either sat on a bench and people watched or went to a coffe shop and had some bottled water. (I am wierd i can only drink water from a bottle!) So i was really pleased with myself- go me! :p:DB);)
    The group starts a week on monday and i am really looking forward to starting the group.
    Anyway,
